I would not recommend DR Horton as a builder. When we bought our house in Colorado it did not include fencing. We were told that when we put up our fence that the surrounding homeowners knew they had to share in this expense. We moved in with a dog so we had our fence installed using the fencing company recommended by DR Horton and the HOA. One and a half years later the house behind us was finally sold. In case the review mysteriously disappears, please read the following: we purchased a D.R. Horton home last year in the Westgate community in May of 2024. It was first reported to D.R. Horton directly that the radon mitigation system was not functioning. A year later, after an 11-month inspection, the same system was still broken and a radon test revealed a high and unlawful amount of radon still in the home. D.R. Do not buy from this builder. The materials used are cheap. The warranty department will insult you and disrespect your home.
Working on a mural in their new severance subdivision. Poorest quality "drywall" i have ever encountered. 500k homes and you can't use standard drywall. Called the builder and they said it is standard 1/2-5/8". Hahahahhaha i am 100lbs and can hardly put pressure on the walls. I don't feel comfortable hanging anything even with drywall anchors because the drywall is so thin. I have been a mural artist for years and this is the WORST i have ever seen. DO NOT BUY
