Stay away—seriously, stay away! We purchased a new-build home from DR Horton three years ago, and every single appliance in the house has failed, including the HVAC system. The home was built with extremely low-quality materials, and things started falling apart within the first year. This has been a very frustrating and costly experience. I will never purchase another new-build home, especially not one built by DR Horton.
George was amazing to work with. I would highly recommend working with him when you are in the market for a new home.
George Martin made the experience for me with D.R Horton as my salesman he treated me like he has known me for years and not like a sale I've had different sales experiences but my first one that I didn't feel like he was just all about the money definitely check them out.
I deeply regret purchasing a home from D.R. Horton. My house was delivered as new construction in mid 2023, and just over two years later, the HVAC system has already failed during a major summer heatwave. A licensed technician from the builder’s original installer (Caryl Mechanicals) found a likely refrigerant leak at a brazed joint—indicative of poor installation, not normal wear and tear.
