I visited Dr. Ellis for one of my last prenatal appointments, and left pretty shocked. I had been planning to hypnobirth, and her behavior was everything they tell you to expect from doctors that will push unnecessary medical procedures. She claimed to have read my chart, but clearly had not, as she did not understand or ask about my birth preferences and proceeded to bulldoze (I'm not sure if there's a better word) the conversation and what my next steps would be. I left Dr. Ellins’ office feeling dismissed, judged, and completely unheard. After being diagnosed with a rare, life-altering condition (1 in 10,000), I came to my appointment seeking compassionate care and expert guidance. I had done extensive research and brought recommendations directly from a retired physician who authored the only NIH-backed studies on my condition. Dr. Elins is well informed, down to Earth, and doesn't treat you like just another appointment. She helped me come to a conclusion of what was best for me personally and I was able to get a follow-up appointment easily. She is very professional. Can't recommend more!

The Huntersville location is in transition, but the care is exceptional. I highly recommend Dr. Rabinowitz- Elins for quality women’s care. She’s friendly, engaging, she listens, and offers frank and solid recommendations. Nothing on the questionable fringes of medical care, but up to date on new research. Great balance of warmth, empathy, humor and straightforward honesty.
