I do not recommend Dr. Hesham A. Elsharkawy to anyone seeking pain management. I spent nearly two years under his care, and every single appointment left me feeling worse—mentally, emotionally, and physically. He was dismissive, rude, and deeply unprofessional from day one. I met Dr Elsharkawy at a very low point in my life. I’ve been in severe pain for YEARS! From the very beginning he was so very warm, kind and knowledgeable. I had Two hard surgeries with him this year and I’m 68 years old. He was amazing. He knows his business! And the whole time, he spoke with me, kept me calm, and was very professional. I went in the day after surgery. Despite a negative drug test 4 months prior and no history of abuse, they accused me of having OUD and blamed my post-operative delirium on Marijuana. I saw my first pain management doctor (Elsharkawy,) and they decided to ruin my life because I am a complex case. Go figure.
