Dr B. Is realistic and caring. She may not be a gushing hugger type person, but it was very clear that she had my Father’s s best interest at heart. She checked in with my Mom during the hospital stay, and was genuinely concerned for my Mom, too. She made an action plan and checked his buy-in to see if he was on board. If he was not, she changed the plan to one he was more comfortable with. My Father does not trust any doctors and he likes Dr. B; and that says a lot.
This physician told my husband and I that he had pancreatic cancer in the ER after only having a CT scan. She then progressed to tell us that we would see a GI Dr to see If there was anything that could be done or if it was even worth doing a biopsy. He turned out to only have pancreatitis after 2 days of extreme stress and emotional distress caused by her diagnosis with nothing to support it.
