I recorded my appts with Dr Garner, so I've listened to what was said on tape to write this.He was disrespectful to me. I was there for SEVERE back problems that has lead to total & partial temporary paralysis below the waste several times, yet his solutions at 2 different appts were:- lidocaine injection, despite lidocaine being ineffective due to my genetic condition (doesn't work whatsoever during dental work) & an injection elsewhere made that problem worse- 'Have you ever tried ketamine treatment?' I had to see him due to a herniated disc. A disc fusion surgery was done. However, the bone never fused. When I went to see him about it, instead of answering my questions he was very defensive and inappropriate. He even made some comment about beauty. I asked if I should be taking more calcium or vitamin D, he just said no with no explanation. He just kept saying the screws aren’t loose. Please do your research before choosing Hart Garner as your surgeon. He has left more patients than I can count with outcomes well past the point of no return. Please be warned. This is not a one-off testimony, this is a repeated pattern that I have seen time and time again.
He put me back together after a back surgeon messed me up! Thank God for Dr. Garner! An answer to prayer for me!!!
I had hurt by back over 20 years ago. I was seeing a different Dr. who had performed 4 surgeries on me. I went to see Dr. Garner because I was still having a lot of pain and numbness in my back and leg. He ended up doing 4 surgeries on me. He has helped me to become more active and less pain. He does not push surgery unless it’s the only thing left to do. He will try shots, physical therapy and other alternatives first. Please do not consider this dr. After 3 surgeries I am now dealing with failed back surgery syndrome and have been in pain for the last three years because of him. The damage is such that is now inoperable based on opinions of subsequent doctors I have seen.
This guy’s a bad joke. I Drove 2 1/2 hours for an appointment at which he ordered more scans which were done then he refused to follow up with me. I called 4 times over a 3 1/2 week period with no call back other than the clinic calling to tell me he would call back shortly. No explanation why. I filed a fraudulent care claim with the insurance company. I cannot comment on his surgical skills as we never got that far. After months of severe pain and visits to several other neurosurgeons who treated me as if I was drug seeking, diagnosed with carpal tunnel and other incorrect diagnoses or told me nothing was wrong a friend who is also a nurse recommended Dr Garner. Dr Garner and his staff were wonderful. I was treated with kindness and respect. Dr Garner took to the time to really talk with me and to better understand my medical issues. I do not believe there are enough words to express my appreciation for Dr Garner. I have had several surgeries and each time he has improved the quality of my life ten fold. I went to a dr in Lacrosse Wisconsin for my back originally and was informed he could do nothing more than install a morphine pump in my back. My wife insisted on a second opinion and that's when I went to Dr Garner. I now walk without pain. I can never say thanks enough for what Dr Garner has done for my. The best ever ! TY
