This doctor is responsible for saving my life. Due to an error by an ER doctor, Dr. Hernandez could have easily looked the other way. Instead he called in several specialist to ensure my full recovery. Is he a busy doctor? Very. Does he take the time to educate other medical professionals? Usually. Will you wait almost 45 minutes to see him and or his staff? Highly likely. Had it not been for him- I wouldn't be here to type this. ;~>
TODAY I WENT TO THE OFFICE AT 1339 FAIR AVE. TO CHECK THE DOCTOR, AND ONE PRACTITIONARY CENTENO, REALLY UNPROFESSIONAL WITH MY SHE DON'T CHECK MY FILE, AND I TOLD HER THE I'M GOING TO HIP REPLACMENT 3 TIMES AND SHE INSIST ON MY KNEES, FINALLY I TOLD HER FOCUS IS MY HIP NO MY KNEE AND SHE SAID THAT HAVE TOO MANY PACIENTS …….FOR MY I NEVER COME BACK TO HTAT OFFICE THAT LADY IS SOO UN-PROFESSIONAL AND VERY RUDE .
At the Naco location, you'll NEVER see Dr Hernandez.... you'll see the other doctors, or mainly the P.A's... The office staff is ALWAYS lacking professionalism and ANY knowledge or common sense. The PAs/ office staff have FLAT OUT LIED about sending information to Pharmacies/ other doctors/ insurance, etc, when the papers they have ( IN HAND !!!) say the information was sent AFTER the time they claimed. The PAs have been very RUDE in their bed side manner, and just want to push pills
Typical ailments are fine to see him for, but if you have something major seek care elsewhere. I spent a week at Baptist Downtown only to be released with nothing conclusive. 2 weeks later I was admitted into Memorial Hermann in Houston with acute liver failure and was prepped for a transplant. This was only after I sent my lab work, on my own, to a specialist over there as I didn't trust the care I was receiving in San Antonio under Dr. Hernandez and his team. His care almost cost me my life.
This man is very rude and rushed the time he spent with me. I could not get him to sit down. he would leave without answering my questions and wouldn’t follow up in time. Find a more respectful doctor who acts like he cares. P.s. practice what you preach, how are you a doctor if you’re going to be overweight?
The office staff is VERY Unprofessional, due to their lack of communications with my surgeons office my surgery was postponed. However they continued to say that it was the surgeons office not getting info to me. Not TRUE!! A serious test I needed 2 wks before surgery was NEVER told to me by this office staff till 4 days before surgery & that came from the surgeons office after 3 days of me & the surgeons office calling back & forth to this office to find out what was going on. DON'T GO THERE!
Very rude staff!!!!!!! I was looking for a primary care doctor and called to see about scheduling an appointment. After being on the phone for less than a minute I decided to find somewhere else to go. I would never go to or recommend a place that employs such unprofessional office staff. I am glad I found out before I scheduled the appointment.
I took my 7 year old daughter in with an odd skin rash after taking her to TX MED a few days before. He took the time to take a blood test, asked questions and even asked if this can be a "teaching opportunity" for his PA and RN. They used online and book resources to find out what the problems were, prescribed medication and the problem was SOLVED. Her skin cleared up and all is well. Yes, there was a wait, but anywhere you go you have to wait..... Thank you, Dr. Harry Hernandez. :)
Overall, this would have been my office of choice, if they were able to keep appointments. A 30 minute wait time with a scheduled appointment is unacceptable. If this had happened on one occasion, I could have easily overlooked it. However; my second and third appointment resulted in the same wait times. My next visit will be with another doctors office that has a greater level of courtesy and professionalism.
