I had nat even been in the exam room for 5 minutes. I have a documented history of urinary problems, complete with diagnostic test results, but the first thing he noticed when looking at my chart was that I am on antidepressants. He very patronizingly said, "looking at your medications, are you sure this is not all in here?" pointing to his head. Totally wrote me off because I am on psych meds without knowing anything else. I'm seeking a second opinion.
After seeing Dr. Bernstein for less than 15 minutes, he diagnosed with something that I have learned, after seeing a competent urologist, should have been made only after ruling out several other issues. As a result I suffered a lot until I saw someone who was competent.
I was scheduled for a Green Light laser turp of my prostate in 2012. I did some research on this procedure and decided it had to many down sides. I called and cancelled the procedure. Dr Bernstein called me and talked me back into the procedure. Six months after the procedure I developed dysuria which continues today. I should have never listened to Dr Bernstein. Dr. Bernstein let me suffer. He and staff don't seem to care. Seems like they resent patients. My condition is much worse even though I've tried to get help there. I'm very disappointed and in pain.
I was referred to Dr. Bernstein after a ER visit. I had calcifications in my kidney. I waited almost 2 hours to see him and he pretty much just blew me off didn't want to waste time. Told me to see a kidney specialist.
Dr. Bernstein performed my vasectomy, and was pleasant and professional throughout the consultation and procedure experience. He answered my questions expertly and in a casual, disarming manner. His office staff and nurse were very friendly, too.
