Dr. Hanes has a strong medical education and sufficient experience to provide a patient with a good evaluation and subsequent recommendations. Unassuming, he knows his trade very well and transmits his information directly. Very personable. In my case he has been positively motivating me towards my betterment and very much on target with his predictions.
Arrogant and dismissive Total lack of compassion
I saw Dr Hanes once and never went back. As I was asking a question, he was dictating information and ignored me. He was the most disrespectful doctor I’ve ever visited
I saw Dr. Hanes to find out the cause of my longstanding hand, foot, and arm motor issues. He thinks I have a rare autoimmune disease that is treatable. No doctor I've seen in the last 15 years has suggested I get an appropriate neurological workup. Most have assumed it was my tick-borne illnesses causing the trouble. Dr. Hanes was thorough and honestly answered every question I asked. This is the kind of doctor you want to get to the bottom of your neurological issues. I'm very grateful to finally have an answer.
Some people don't recognize a great Doctor when he's sitting right in front of them. Dr. Hanes is absolutely the best Neurologist I've been to and I've been to 5 before I found him. NONE of them took the time with me that he has. He is a " straight to the the point, no bs" Doctor and that's what all Doctrs should be. I have severe Peripheral Neutopathy through out my entire body and it's not fun. The prior Neurologists gave me a basic test and just rolled their eyes and shrugged their shoulders. One wanted me to go on Lyrica... read more
A very special thanks to a man who devotes his skills and professionalism with helping a patient in need. Dr. Hanes welcome both my wife and myself into the exam room as he tentatively listened to my chief complaints. Explaining and preforming a bi lateral EMG and NCS test on my arms he briefed us of his findings at the test conclusion. With his expertise we will take next step for a resolve. It was a pleasure being in his presence and we are very grateful for the experience. Gary G
Dr Hanes was considerate of my anxiety regarding the test, he made me comfortable. The office staff seemed a bit "busy,"but not a big hassle.
Vague feedback for outcome of problem, no purpose for going through painful nerve tests since no remedy. Office was dirty and staff unfriendly. Would not go back. Seemed like a buddy referral.
I had the misfortune of having him called in to the SMH ER as a consult for a new clot in my brain. I had come in with radiological reports from studies 4 years ago from Johns Hopkins. He badgered me about getting the physical CDs. He looked in my eye for edema and said, "I'm not very good at this". He never looked in the other eye or called an opthalmologist. I requested my hematologist be called. He told me "I'm the expert". Condescending, unprofessional, didn't listen, medically WRONG!
