The worst office staff and doctor of all time. First appt--waited two hours to even go back into a room. Literally, you could hear the obnoxious cackling from the girls in the back. Seems like they cared more about their hair and fake nails, than they do about their patients. Anyways, Patel is a joke. All the Patels in Midland have to be related, and there is a reason NONE of them have great reviews. Dr. Patel was great!! His office staff is awful. Unfortunately, because of his office staff me and my family will be going to Lubbock to see a gastroenterologist.

Colonoscopy went well. No discomfort, no pain, no side effects. Dr. Patel shared results the next day and expedited scheduling my appointment with my requested surgeon.

If you are looking for a doctor that will listen to your concerns — keep looking. He is not the one. He refused to listen to my mother’s issues - only told her to eat more fiber — and she died of colon cancer 6 months later. Would not listen to my own serious GI issues — again only said eat more fiber. I will never go back.

Dr. Patel is knowledgeable, friendly, and very skilled. He has performed 4 procedures on me over a 19 year period. His office files with Medicare if you are of that age.

My experience was similar to this review: "He's so nice, but his office staff is like a circus. So while he is great to deal with, everyone else makes it almost not worth it, which is a shame." My appointment was at 2:00, but not seen until 2:45. I was given a phone number to call to schedule the coloscopy the next day. I called, but that phone didn't answer and a voice mail told me to call another phone number, but the 2nd phone was disconnected. Do NOT use this doctor! I tried for over three weeks to get an appointment and the horrible receptionist would always tell me they would review my records and call back to set my appointment. After three weeks, I finally asked to speak to an office manager letting her know I was unable to make an appointment through the receptionist and how very unprofessional the was. Very professional Doctor, spends time making sure patient understands procedures and explains results of test in terms patient can understand.
