In my opinion Dr. Miller overmedicated. He left my child in tears during/after sessions - referring to their "depression" - literally USING AIR QUOTES!!!!!!. Horrid manner with children. I would never recommend him to anyone. There is a shortage of psychiatrists at the moment, but I wish we hadn't wasted our time and money. He only managed to make things worse for my child and they look back on that experience with a lot of sadness and disappointment. I found his manner degrading, harsh, and belittling.
Dr. Miller has a heart of gold and is a brilliant and engaging psychiatrist. As far as I am concerned, he saved my child's life.
We had a horrible experience with Dr. Miller with my teenager..... I did not trust his recommendations at all, and we fortunately ran....
Brilliant and attentive, incredibly engaging and kind. He is gem of a doctor and has helped my daughter tremendously over the last few years. His training in pharmacology gives him an edge over most psychiatrists you will find....an immense benefit to the patient.
He was so incredibly rude to me it felt like it undid all the progress I achieved by getting myself to reach out. He is disrespectful and downright insensitive, do not work with him if you have depression!
I have known Dr. Miller for years, and he has helped my child through difficult crisis circumstances. I would recommend him highly and without reservation.
If you have a child who needs psychiatric treatment please do not have them see Dr Miller! Dr Miller is only concerned with money! I’ve never met a doctor that is so unconnected with his patients! I can truly say he does not care! My daughter was seeing him and had an issue he told us that if he was going to talk to her about the issue he would have to charge us more! What kind of psychiatrist says that? Children with psych issues deserve to be heard not pushed off!
Dr. Miller is willing to accommodate seemingly unique needs or requests, provided those seeking his services make such things known to him w/ enough notice to allow for appropriate adjustments to what may be considered a more traditional approach. Times I requested an appointment at short notice were not accommodated for good reason; he chooses to be considerate of ALL clients & sometimes, there simply are no times available at short notice. He's proving to have a key role in improving my life.
I have had psychiatric care since 1986 and with Dr. Miller since 2013 when my existing physician retired. Dr.?Miller listens carefully, fully discusses treatment options (whether pharmaceutical or therapeutic) and is a genuinely engaging practitioner. I currently travel over 600 miles for my appointments. I had one medical emergency (pharmaceutical) and Dr. Miller acted IMMEDIATELY from his HOME in favorably resolving the situation -- despite that it was CHRISTMAS EVE at 4 in the afternoon. A+
