I have been a patient of Dr Buterbaugh's for quite a while. Shoulder replacement, thumb surgery, rotator cuff repair on both shoulders. My husband and my son-in-law have all gone to him with excellent results. He is friendly, takes his time explaining everything and lets you make up your own mind on his recommendation. I have never waited more than 20 minutes to see him and he apologizes if you do have to wait. Calls you by your first name after he gets to know you. His staff is also very nice and friendly especially Nancy.
Dr came in with a smile and without a snotty attitude which was refreshing. The nurse had already taken the stitches out so the doctor could get a better look at the wound. I told him that I had not taken any pain medication as it was not painful procedure & I followed the directions for the exercises that were recommended. He commended me for taking good care of the surgery site. He recommended that I follow up in 6 weeks for my final release from surgery and gave me an object in the shape of a hand to use for continued exe... read more
I waited 2 hours to see the doctor. The waiting room was full and I asked how far behind they were. I was told it would just be a short wait. At one point, I was moved from the spacious waiting room to a cramped narrow hallway where 5 other patients were crammed in with me. I eventually was moved to the doctor's office and waited again. He spent about 5 minutes with me. He left the room and a woman came in and started filling out paper work. She sat directly across from me and never greeted me or spoke at all until she turne... read more
Dr Buterbaugh is amazing. He had repaired and fixed a previous shoulder surgery done by a highly known Dr. My past shoulder surgery Dr Buterbuagh did is coming along fantastic. My Pt that has been in the business for a very long time said Dr. Buterbuagh does nice work!
Dr. Buterbaugh is very professional, gentle, considerate, and honest. He explains exactly what he feels the problem is and is very cautious. I have had rotator surgery on both shoulders, and 5 trigger finger surgeries under Dr. Buterbaugh’s care. All have been very successful. The physical therapy services have also been very good. I also like the fact that you are able to call his office directly to make appointments. Communication has been very good with all my surgeries, plus any concerns dealing with the healing process.
Dr Buterbaugh repaired my torn rotator cuff, debrided my torn labrum from a bicep rupture and also did a Acromioplasty..all the above conditions happened with one wrong pickup at work, ruptures the bicep, tore the rotator cuff and tore some of the labrum...Buterbaugh is a amazing Dr I'll give him that but his bedside is a little not so good, appointments are way to fast that whatever you wanted to ask you just don't have time to...my shoulder now is ok, pops and cracks a lot but he don't seem concerned...other than that I wo... read more
Several years ago Dr Buterbaugh operated on 2 fingers of my left hand. I was very pleased with the outcome, and he was so reassuring & kind. I've recommended him to several family & friends.
Dr Buterbaugh is the best ortho surgeon. He has done rotator cuff surgery on both my arms. He was able to fixed a messed up surgery from another Dr. He is absolutely the best in the Pittsburgh area! I would recommend him any day!
