I have several health problems-one of which has been iron deficiency anemia. I have been passed off from doctor to doctor - each treating one or two symptoms but never taking time to look at the whole picture. I saw Dr Schunn today and I was so thankful that finally I was being seen by a doctor that took the time to listen to me and consider my total health rather than just one tiny specialized area. She helped me come up with a plan to address my issues with treatment and lifestyle modifications to address my health as a wh... read more
Am surprised she is still allowed to practice. But it is Virginia, what can you say. Misdiagnosed wife, giving her diagnosis of extremely dangerous tumors which other doctors did not agree with. My wife is fine 7 years later without any treatments she suggested.
Dr. Trent is caring, professional, experienced and has the best bedside manner. I will never forget him during very difficult times when my mother was suffering liver failure. He was positive and compassionate
Dr. Schunn is 1 of the most diligent and thorough doctors I’ve ever met. She also saved my grandmother's life when every other doctor gave up because she wouldn’t take a blood transfusion. I never feel rushed and always have my questions answered. She even did research on my grandmother on her vacation. I have a disabled child and have seen a host of different doctors at different hospitals over the years and I have never met a doctor more dedicated than dr schunn. The only thing I could but don’t complain about is she’s alw... read more
Dr Schunn is Wonderful! She will not give up until she discovers what is wrong....then she REALLY gets to work. SO smart and caring! Thank you, Dr Schunn!
My mom was referred to Virginia Cancer by her PCP for low blood levels and significant bruising. Dr. Schunn drew labs and told her to eat better and come back in a year for repeat labs. Less than a year later my mom died from advanced AML. Nine months after her appointment with Dr. Schunn she went into the ER for a severe persistent cough. She had a severe fungal infection because of her compromised immune system. The ER noticed the same low blood levels and did a bone marrow biopsy. They diagnosed her with advanced leukemia... read more
I got an appointment with Dr. Trent who was the on call physician at my regular office because I was having severe side effects from my first chemo. Dr. Trent lacks any compassion or bedside manner and in fact, has a very arrogant/apathetic disposition. He brushed off my violent symptoms as common and told me "it's chemo, what did you expect"? Also that every chemo patient he had complained that their symptoms were miserable and my 10 lb. weight loss in 5 days was not concerning (I weigh 99 lbs). Definitely got the sense tha... read more
Very rude
Dr Swartz is kind and considerate. He listens and answers questions when asked. He is very thorough and knows ins and outs of Cancer. I am glad that he is my Oncologist.
