I do not recommend Dr. Gina or this practice. I agree with other reviewers that patient concerns are not taken seriously, even if they are urgent; calls are not returned in a timely manner; and staff are not consistent. I do not trust Dr. Gina's medical knowledge, and it is clear after only one visit that compassionate, patient-centered care is not her focus.
Horrible bedside manner and unwilling to help resolve medical concerns. Dr. Gina does not listen and resistant to patient opinions. Difficulty getting testing done and forget receiving your results anytime soon.
Staff have been very attentive. I am new to this practice and Dr Gina has spent quality time to get to know me and medical issues. Love the change I made!
Customer service of staff in this office is poor. While getting blood work done, I asked the lab tech if my vitamin D levels were being checked. He said the doctor didn't order it, despite the fact I had told her and the nurse that my levels were previously low and I wanted them checked. The lab tech said that I should have told him this before he took my blood. This doctor tends to brush off what she assesses to be not important issues when in reality the patient would not be there if it wasnt important to them. Sometimes speaks very condescending even if not intentional. I think that she is too quick to dismiss symptoms as being a result of her being baffled by what is going on.
Dr. Gina Micchia is prescription pad happy!! Last time I went to the doctor I had to see her b/c her husband Dr. Joe Micchia did not have any open appointments. I was complaining about severe headaches and problems with my eyes and her solution was to write me a prescription for steroids without doing any blood work or any further testing. I've been to her a total of 3 times and all she ever says is "I'm just baffled about what is going on with you" and that's it and i'm sent home. I have been a patient of Gina Micchia's since 2006. She is by far the best doctor that I have ever had. On the initial visit she spent tons of time taking my history and listening to me and my concerns. She is very approachable and has always shown sincere interest in my health. She always answers my questions and returns my calls. She has a wonderful approach and unlike other doctors I have seen, I don't feel she slaps a prescription on me and shoos me out.
