I had heard only horror stories here in Corpus Christi from the local docs in 1995 so I went to go see Dr Meadows. My first surgery was L4-L5 and I had a complete fusion with hardware. I left the hardware in for 4 years and was pain free for a few more years. In 2002 I blew another disk and went back to Dr Meadows. I had another complete fusion of L3-L4 with hardware and again was pain free. My daughter had a discogram over 22 years ago ordered br dr meadows. she got an infection, staff infection either from a dirty needle or the site of the injection was not sterile. She ended up in the hospital for one month with antibiotics going into her spine. To make a long story short, dr meadows was caring for her and I use the word loosly. It is the best staff around and when you have an appointment the doctor is on time..He does not overbook his patience..His nurse is also very helpful and compassionate - The Dr treats his patiences with compassion also..
Wonderful doctor! He has operated on my back twice fusing C2-7. I felt imediate relief after the surgery. He is very knowledgeable and has wonderful bedside manner.
Dr Meadows performed Anterior Cervical Fusion in 1993 on my neck. The doctors in Corpus couldn't find out what was wrong with me. I took my initial x-rays and Doc Meadows showed us where the trouble was. He performed the surgery using bone from a bone bank and a plate and 4 screws to repair the damaged discs in my neck.
