Dr Bourke botched my ankle fusion, caused an infection and watched the hole in my ankle get bigger for 6 weeks post surgery assuring me the whole time this was normal, nothings wrong, I’ve watched 100s of patients heal from similar- it’s not infected- the day before he moved from Melbourne to the Sunshine Coast, he referred me to a wound specialist “who will just keep an eye on it”. Be warned this surgeon has no Bedside manner and he is the most aggressive and aggrogant person I have had dealings with in the medical field!After a terrible surgery with him and ruining my feet ,not to mention the pain I exsperienced I have no words to explain him as unprofessional and stay away he is a butcher?I believe he has moved to Queensland god help them ????

I had my right foot operated - a prosthesis I plant five years ago next month. A BIG mistake choosing this doctor. I asked him several time after the operation why my large toe was unusually in a high posturing. He said that it would go back to normal after the swelling subsided. I was later told by another surgeon that it looked as though the tendon was pulled too tight.
