I have a recurring kidney problem and normally see Nicole Hawking, Dr. Jerry Shockey's PA, due to the fact I could not get speedy treatment a year ago the infection went to an eColi in the blood system and was hospitalized and under treatment for over 6 weeks. My admonishment was ''contact our office immediately and do not delay treatment in the future." As long as your issues are status quo I suppose Shockey and his office are ok. But when asking his office to assist with the coordination of my care and assist in obtaining medical records from a specialist things got crazy and resulted in Dr Shockey telling me that he and his staff were doing me a service. He wouldnt even allow me to talk. Who wants a doctor that wont listen? NOT ME
Dr. Shockeyis the worst doctor in the history of the world. Anybody who writes a good comment must either be a friend of his or the same person writing different comments, but speaking good about him on his behalf. This guy is the biggest jerk I have ever met. he talked down to me and belittled me and when I asked him a question about something he had said earlier because I had forgotten he told he said that I should have been listening better because he really hates repeating himself. I called the office to ask the doctor a question and no one called me back, so I called a second time. When i went into see the Dr. Schockey, he told me "I am running a business here, my nurses don't have time to be calling patients back!" I was shocked. I thought that doctors and nurses were supposed to be there to help, not just to "run a business." I went in for anxiety and Jerry wanted to prescribe me anti depressants. I tried telling him that I was not depressed, I merely got extremely anxious from time-to-time in certain social situations. Jerry basically treated me like a piece of human garbage just trying to score drugs. I have never been so insulted in my entire life. Jerry was so rude to me, I still feel anxious just thinking about the interaction. Doctor Shockey has a very bad temper and is disrespectful to his patience. He was rude and unkind and made hurtful comments about treatment for a person with a disability
If you enjoy being judged and talked down to, this is the doctor for you. He doesn't want your input, because he knows it all. He even had the nerve to tell me how little he cared for my knee surgeon, whom I have been seeing since 2001. You can actually watch him and sense the moment he starts to tune out what you are telling him, because he knows so much. He may treat you different based on your religion too. Everything is SO much improved since he moved and started his own office. Those negative comments I saw I find suspect... I find him friendly, candid and knowledgeable.
