Dr. Weinberger is, as always was, a great doctor, great bedside manner and sense of humor. The staff was wonderful as well.
I give a poor rating because he misdiagnosed neck skin marks on my young daughter. It was a simple terra firme that came off with some alcohol. Dr. Weinberger gave it a different diagnosis saying that nothing could be done and that it was a birth mark. I would not trust his diagnosis and recommend caution. Definitely not returning to his practice. The front desk staff is unfriendly but that could have been forgiven if he had made a correct diagnosis.
Very disappointed. Went for a rash told him I think it is in my hair it is itchy. Never checked just sat in his chair and took notes. Dismissed it told me to use head and shoulders. Well I began loosing my hair went to another doctor and told me I had a fungus. It will take a year for it to grow back. Not happy
I found this doctor helpful, the exact opposite of my previous dermatologist who was pushing all kinds of treatments on me. This doctor is honest and told me right up front that because I have a very sensitive skin I can skip most of the creams on the market. He gave me something over the counter instead that works great for my skin. He listens to you and keeps things simple.
I personally found him to be very unhelpful and quick to dismiss me. He told me there was nothing he could do for my acne since I was trying to get pregnant, except a cream which made it worse. I ended up seeing a different dermatologist who was able to correctly diagnose my problem and give me alternate treatments save for pregnancy/trying to get pregnant rather than throw some cream at me and send me on my way. Overall I have been pleased with the care I rec'd from this doctor. I have gone to him on and off for 15+ years.
