Dr. Fivgas is great, a very intelligent and trustworthy physician. I would give him 5 stars, but the way his office is run is horrific. I went for several visits, and the minimum time I was in office was 1.5 hours (and I didn't require any tests or treatments that day). My other visits were all 2+ hours. The last time I went, I ended up having to leave after 2 hours before any tests were even done. If you don't have 3+ hours of time to dedicate to each appointment (without wifi at that), I would advise going somewhere else. ... read more
Dr. Fivgas is an excellent, skilled physician who has helped me tremendously with recent retina tears and weaknesses, saving my vision. To those reviewers who are upset about 'waiting' and 'bad service,' you are morons. Retina emergencies happen and if they are not attended to promptly, loss of vision can occur. Is it worth it for the doctor to be on time for your appointment, instead of performing a necessary emergency surgery just so you don't miss your tennis game? It has been 19 years since Dr. Fivgas treated my retinal swelling with first an injection and then laser and I am happy to say the 5 lines of vision that I regained is still with me today.
Dr. Fivgas is a highly skilled retinal specialist. He genuinely cares for his patients, answers all questions, and is easy to talk to during exam. I have always found his staff to be friendly, polite and helpful. Wait time is not bad. Staff works proficiently without rushing through procedures. You are told, in advance, of time required for visit. He may have emergencies but affords ample time to all patients. My mother and I have been patients for several years.
