I've wanted to write the story for years. I was having severe pain, and I found myself housebound from 2009 to 2011. Sometime during the middle of that, I encountered Dr Baum. I thought how awesome it was I was going to get to see an osteopath. It wasn't good. He's no different than any other doctor, just D.O. after his name. Felt like I was wasting his time. I came in with an injured knee unable to walk properly or straighten my knee for nearly two weeks. The appointment started by him asking me what I wanted him to do? Confused I was! Thinking, I don't know, you're the doctor, you tell me. He told me not to bother getting an MRI because they're expensive, around $1200. Dr. Baum is such a great surgeon and doctor! He did my rotator cuff and a great sewing job. I've had problems with both shoulders for quite some time and get injections, one or two years apart. This last time I asked if he'd inject my back, since I've had fibromyalgia since 2004. He said he'd give it a shot. I only had him do my upper back since I can do stretches that tame my lower a bit. About in years ago I have a hip replacement performed by him and thanks to him I am permently disabled. He overstretched the sciatica nerve and never told me. In fact, a day after the surgery he said that everything went well . Ironicallt, I came across two other women who had the exact same experience as me just before my surgery and we're told the same "everything went fine" scenario ". This was the worst experience in my life

Dr. Baum did 3 surgeries at one time. Ankle, shoulder and elbow. As soon as it was over he left for vacation in Mexico. No instructions, no antibiotics and anything. Ankle got infected and I finally had to have stitches taken out. Horrible time. This was many years ago but I think I would find another doctor.
