I have never been so appalled by a healthcare provider and I work in the health care industry. Very unprofessional! He cusses like a sailor and spends little to no time with the patient. I would never recommend!!
Most unprofessional doctor we have ever experienced. Curses in front of patients, argues with staff in front of patients and other staff.
Dr Bernard is an amazing doctor. I have read some of the reviews and yes, there is a long wait time. He is a busy doctor with a lot of clients, so there will be a wait. Also, he is very honest, blunt, and upfront. He doesn't beat around the bush, but in today's society where you could be dying and most doctors won't tell you what's going on, I appreciate the bluntness of Dr. Bernard. On top of it all, he's one of the most intelligent doctors you will meet who is like a walking encyclopedia.
wait times are HOURS. I have had the first appointment of the day and was still forced to wait HOURS while pregnant with a toddler. They are slow moving and over book. They only take blood in office and use their own pharmacy (costs me extra money). My family and I will be attending a new doctor from now on.
Long wait times. But he listens and wants to be sure everything is right. Take a book, and enjoy the down time.
It is evident from the countless reviews and my own experience, this practice is simply here to make money. You will wait for hours for a 5 minute appointment. You will pay your visit fee of at least $50 and then see what they charged your insurance later (its crazy), it is clear Dr. Bernard is just here for the money-not your health-When the goal is to cram as many patients into an hour. Some of the items he "compounds" are already on the market-he did not invent them as he makes it seem!!!
Dr. Bernard is very knowledgeable and seems to truly want to do whatever he can to help his patients - often requiring him to think outside the box of "traditional medicine". Due to the volume of patients he sees he can sometimes seem rushed, but he has never put me off and has always taken the time needed to hear my questions and ensure my understanding of his response. He is somewhat prone to using profanity (a bit unprofessional) but otherwise a great and caring doctor!
I have been seeing him for over 10 years. Today he berated me and almost put me to tears when I asked simple questions about some of the hormones I was one, concerned about cancer risks. When I asked for the BRAC test that determines if you carry the gene for cancer not only for me but for my daughters benefit he said: what are you going to do cut your boobs off if it comes back positive- I said well yes I would which didn't go over well. Not even reviewing my history or asking my families.
Dr. Bernard has been a great physician for me and my family for over 7 years. He thinks outside the box and always very concerned about us. His staff is friendly and efficient since they do see a lot of people. I would highly recommend him to all types of patients, young and old.
