Had umbilical laparoscopic hernia surgery, found Dr. Mapeso very professional, courteous and skilled. The office staff was also great. I’m surprised by some of the recent reviews. The last two years the world has changed, imo we need more understanding and some accountability for our own health outcomes. I was proactive with the office if I was unsure of anything and know they’re all trying their best during these uncertain times.
It's no wonder there's a disclaimer on their voicemail where they won't tolerate any angry clients. The office staff is utterly incompetent. My doctor referred me here, and they screwed up my long-awaited appointment not once, but twice! The first time they called saying that I missed an appointment when I never even spoke with a live person there to confirm one in the first place. There is usually a wait here and it's pay parking. Dr. Mapeso is suppose to be a good doctor although his beside manner could use a little refresher course. First time I had a colonoscopy it wasn't this doctor and I felt nothing, let alone conversing during a colonoscopy. I usually get the meds and I'm right out. Just curious if there's some research going on to see how well tolerated it is with minimal medication, especially since Ford said he thought OHIP should cut back on sedation during a colonoscopy.
