Dr. Wefald and his staff literally saved my life. He's a great doctor who cares deeply for his patients. I've even seen him escort older patients to their car, and overheard him spend a great deal of time with a widow more in need of emotional help than medical care. He compassionately dealt with the lonely woman, going far beyond what most doctors would do in these days of rushed medical visits. I reached out to Dr Frank as a second opinion and was so pleased with his information I changed my primary care over to him and have only gone on his advice and other specialists who he works diligently with to solve my heart issues with.
An awesome doctor who will spend whatever time necessary with his patients. The office wait may be long, but he often spends extended times with patients, at times offering moral support as well as medical care. He properly diagnosed a critical cardiac problem which another cardiologist had called, "minor." After 5 stents, the doctor at Wake Med said, "you just survived a near-death experience." Not very smart about patient care. Seems like most days he leaves his common sense at home.
If it wasn't for Dr. Wefald my father in law probably wouldn't be alive. He is an excellent doctor and we appreciate everything he has done! No complaints here! Yea, he lost his license to the poster below but he will have it back per NC Medical board documents by February 13, 2015.

He has supported me through the hardest parts of my life and has always been there when I truely needed him. He knew what was wrong with me when other specialists literally said I was just crazy. He has helped me pull my life together and is the glue that helps hold it. My words of thanks can never be enough because of him I have 2 beutiful kids.
