Dr. Marshall is a pragmatic, creative problem-solver. He uses innovative solutions and is cheerful, patient and kind. My kid has not been great about using her rubber bands and he kept saying that if she didn't, she'd have to get a "forces appliance" (a metal thing that does the job of rubber bands and just sits in her mouth) to correct her overbite, but he was never conflictive or judgmental about it, just factual.
