I had a wonderful experience with the entire staff on my first visit to this clinic. The receptionists were accommodating and kind. Dr. Valdes has a soft hand and is cheerful. Ruby, her assistant, was incredibly kind and gentle. They are highly recommended.
I’ve been going to this dental clinic for a while and usually have a good experience, but this time I was seen by a different dentist, and it was honestly awful. She was extremely rough and seemed completely indifferent to the pain I was in. I told her several times that it hurt, but she just ignored me. She opened my mouth forcefully with her fingers and didn’t seem to care about my comfort at all. It felt very unprofessional. This clinic should really train their staff to be more empathetic and patient-friendly.
Dr. Valdes has been my family dentist and I've been coming to her since I was a kid - her and her front desk staff are amazing and she is very kind and gentle. However; I somehow have ended up with a different (new) dentist and have had 3-4 dentist appointments with her - and I have to say, I'm really disappointed. She left me waiting in the chair for 45mins once (it's already a half hour commute for me since I no longer live in Burnaby) and I've noticed she is not very gentle at all..
