I saw him all of 5 minutes he told me that the pain I was feeling was tendinitis I went to a different provider whom stated I had a very very large amount of AVN and a hairline fracture the next day my bone collapsed and I needed surgery I wouldn’t take a pet lab rat to him

He's blunt and direct when he talks about your injury. But what matters is that he's good at what he does, being a surgeon. As for my case, he performed ankle ORIF without any complications or problems, and so I'd trust him again with any surgery.

Dr. Pena performed flat foot reconstruction surgery on my son. We were told by two other orthopedic surgeons that the surgery would take hours. Dr. Peña finish the surgery in less than an hour. We were sent home even though our son was in excruciating pain. He suffered for two weeks because every time I called the clinic I was told it was to be expected. Very poor results from my surgery years ago. He had to go back in to remove a stitch in my foot and to correct something else - I can't recall what , then had to partially re-do the surgery on that foot due to an infection and improper cast placement by his staff. After surgery a feels weeks, I noticed my calf on that leg was saggy and wrinkly. Turns out he had lengthened my Achilles' tendon by cutting several nicks in it to lengthen it.
