Beware of the sharp teeth of his financial departmental staff members. Be aware he is not mandatorily renewed with the Florida Medicaid ID program. As to actually be able to treat Medicaid patients. Absolutely HORRIBLE office staff! Dr Ortiz was so nice at UF Leesburg treating my mother but the staff at his office mirrors ALL of the negative reviews. Such a waste of a good doctors reputation by his staff. Apparently only his staff views these or he truly just doesn’t care.

Horrible schedulers. The lady who answered the phone on May 4, 2026 was quite rude and condescending. Terrible manners. Please listen to the conversation. You'll realize she was extremely rude and hostile. No reason to be rude. She should be fired, honestly. I don't care if she was having a bad day. There's no reason to be talking to potential future patients that way. I will not be seen by Dr. Ortiz neither would I be recommending this practice and I sure hope the doctor reads this review.
