kind, intelligent, efficient doctor who cares
Dr. Heisler is an exceptional psychiatrist of whom is extremely well versed in her field of practice. She also is kind, compassionate, and attentive during sessions. She puts the patient first at all times. I feel fortunate to have such an excellent psychiatrist for my chronic illness. I have had other psychiatrists and mental health professionals prior to Dr. Heisler, who never helped me manage my condition or treated me with the proper medications, and counseling. By the way, I am a nurse.
The doctor's head was buried in her computer to get her documentation complete. Little attempt at fostering a positive patient/doctor relationship. Asked a question and then didn't even bother to wait for a complete response before jumping to the next thing to be documented. Also, inappropriately made a comment, Oh, that doesn't bode well. This was after conveying relationship difficulty with my significant other. I didn't feel comfortable accepting any of her recommendations.
Very smart, excellent clinical and communication skills. I would highly recommend.
Dr. Heisler offered me unsolicited medical advice about a problem that had already been diagnosed by 3 specialists. In addition, she offered to do labs for me that she couldn't read (my PCP ended up changing the dosages). But worst of all, she misdiagnosed my psychiatric problem and put me on medication that actually caused problems. I would highly recommend RUNNING away from this "doctor."
