I recently had an issue with my reading glasses and tried to contact Dr. Farhana Khan & Associates (located inside the Costco Biscayne Crescent Optical Clinic) to rebook an appointment. I have been seeing Dr. Farouk Hasan who has been very good. The problem with this practice, since it changed ownership, and now is operated by Dr. Farhana Khan and Associates, is that it is like a walk-in. You are seen by whoever is the attending Optometrist on the day of your appointment. Besides their clinical notes in their system, there is no continuity with a single Optometrist. Made an appointment here, and had it booked for 1230. Called at 1215 to say I was going to be 10 mins late because I was having a blood sugar low and I can not drive. Receptionist didn’t even care and was dismissive. Very disappointing for Costco! She said they can not take me if I’m late. I said forget it don’t even worry about booking me in again.
Very disappointing experience at Costco Optical (5900 Rodeo Dr, Mississauga). I had a scheduled appointment that was cancelled on the same day without any valid explanation. Now I’m forced to rebook and wait several more days, which is extremely inconvenient and frustrating. This is not the level of professionalism I expected from Costco. I sincerely hope they improve how they manage appointments and start respecting customers’ time. Overall, a very bad experience.
