Horrible. He might be a great doctor but his bed side manner is the worst I have seen in 23 years of dealing with GI doctors. Would not recommend.
I rarely review doctors, however, I felt compelled to submit a review for Dr. Hanna. I have never meet a doctor that does such a wonderful job connecting with with patients and their parents. He truly wanted to make sure that we felt like there was a plan in place to drive to a resolution. U of I is teaching hospital and he had a medical student working with him. Watching interact with his student was inspiring. No doubt he helps people become great doctors.
Dr. Hanna is extremely competent in his field. While other GI’s seemed clueless on my son’s birth defect, he knew so much and really cared about both mine and my son’s comfort. He explained to me all possibilities and what risk level he thought my son was. He also explained his plan for care for the next few months instead of leaving me clueless.
Dr. Hanna was absolutely amazing with my son. Doctors local to us literally gave up on my son because they couldn't find a textbook reason for his issues. Dr. Hanna didn't give up on my son and ended up finding out what was wrong with him. He gave me my son back and was amazing throughout the entire process. Extremely understanding and compassionate.
