I found Dr Hurst after being told I needed basal cell cancer surgery on my face and lip. She had good reviews so I went with her. I found her office staff in Fairview Heights to be professional and friendly. Dr Hurst is very knowledgeable, professional in her attitude and did an excellent job on my face. When I got back to work my coworker told me he had also used her for his face surgery. He had 44 stitches and you could barely see where the scar was. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
Dr Hurst is an excellent surgeon dermatologist. She specialized in removing skin cancers using a surgical technique called Mohs procedure. As I understand it, a cancer is removed then studied immediately under a microscope to be sure it's all gone. My Mom had this done. It is fast and much less painful than the (growing) cancer! Dr Hurst ran the Mohs surgical center at a big university hospital before coming to her current practice.
