Poor communication
Unfortunately, the experience left me feeling more stressed and confused than before the visit.
Horrible experience. Doesn't seem to be on the same page with her team. I felt that she was extremely money driven (opposed to having my child's best interest) and used bait and switch tactics, to try to earn that money. Had her staff call me day in and day out trying to set up an appointment after I told them multiple times that we were going with another doctor. Won't take No for an answer.
The problem I found was that Kiehna isn’t respected by her team. For example, the anesthesiologist rolled their eyes when I repeated what Kiehna had told me and expressed “oh she tells everyone that and we keep telling her she’s wrong.” It seemed like every doctor we ran into had some disdain for her. That’s a bit worrisome.
Words can’t fully express how grateful I am for Dr. Kiehna. She was one of the first doctors who truly listened to me as a mother. I had a deep feeling that something wasn’t right with my daughter, and while others brushed off my concerns, Dr. Kiehna took the time to hear me out not just as a patient’s parent, but as someone who knew their child better than anyone.
