I was referred after a stint in the ER for stroke like symptoms. I felt my concerns were dismissed by MUSC ED and Dr. Powers. To be fair there were a gamut of tests which were mostly normal, but that doesn't mean what I am experiencing is normal. The more I tried to advocate for myself the more dismissive the conversation got. Dr. Powers is such a kind and caring doctor. I never feel rushed and he always takes the time to answer my questions and calls me at home with any pending test results. He is highly respected throughout the medical community and his credentials speak for themselves. If you’re in need of a cardiologist, look no further!

I've always had great experiences here. Dr. Powers explains things simply and is concerned about the whole person. There is always an opportunity to ask questions and to get more understanding, if needed. I don't feel rushed during my appointments. I would recommend this doctor if you need a cardiologist.
