Dr. Andrews has been my daughter’s neurologist since she was just 4 months old. She’s now almost 18. It was Dr. Andrews who first recognized that my daughter was experiencing metabolic strokes and immediately brought endocrinology on board. Over a year ago I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Andrews as my daughter has gray matter heterotopia and is epileptic. We had to wait a long time for the appointment and had to drive over an hour to get there. Once we were there they had no record of our appointment but could let me wait to see the PA. Dr Andrews is a phenomenal doctor. She listens and is very patient with both myself and my child. She takes all the time we need to make sure we both feel comfortable and understand everything.
It's a shame that Pediatric Neurology Associates is one of the few neurology practices in Tampa, and that Dr. Andrews is the primary neurologist at St Joseph's Children's Hospital and has no real concern for patient care. My daughter has a rare genetic disorder and we are fortunate that she is followed by neurology at Boston Children's Hospital (one of the best children's hospitals in the country), however we live in Tampa.
