UPDATE: Dr. Ekpo is leaving, the only doctor at UC Davis who is actually amazing and cared about her patient who was amazing is leaving. UC Davis will now be like the rest of the hospitals of suits and uncaring doctors, but I wish Dr. Ekpo the best of luck, she deserves it. Dr. Ekpo sets the bar for physicians in general and across the “specialties" board. I arrived shell-shocked because of my diagnosis of Guillain-Barre and through her medical expertise, authentic heart for the patient…I left the Neuro floor for the rehabilitation hospital motivated, educated on expectations, and comforted. She is brilliant and deeply caring.
