Dr. Chalom was my pediatric rheumatologist. I saw her from the age of 11 until the age of 18. When I was a senior in high school she told me and my mom that my pains were all in my head. She told me I was just trying to score days out of school and not really in any pain. I saw Dr. Chalom as a child, from about 1999 - 2013. She diagnosed me with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (now named Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis) when I was 4, and gave my parents the answers they were searching for. I feel so fortunate to have grown up seeing such a wonderful, compassionate, knowledgeable doctor. She made my regular visits fun, not scary.
