Didn’t want to admit me, told me I needed to “be an adult” and do adult things. Turns out my patella was in five or six pieces. I had surgery and was admitted for 3 nights by surgeon. Worst ER experience ever at Shawnee Mission Advent Health.
Sent my wife home... said there was nothing more they could do for her. Wife was back in ER within a day... needed a transfusion immediately...she almost died.... worst experience ever at a hospital
Dr. Cozad was incredibly warm and compassionate. She checked in and explained things in a way that I understood, and even spent additional time to see how I was feeling emotionally. She never made me feel rushed, and treated me with dignity and respect. I appreciate the time she spent walking me through my treatment plan and potential diagnoses.
