As someone who has been a patient of Dr. Hassen for years, I strongly advise against seeing her. While she is friendly, sweet, and attentive, she is just a TERRIBLE physician. Her judgment is usually off, and she can't figure out what medicine to prescribe. I can't elaborate on all the times her medical opinions turned out to be just plain wrong for privacy purposes. You are seriously better off seeing a nurse practitioner than her.
She is excellent!
Dr. Hassen is my primary care doctor and I have been going to her for over a year. Dr. Hassen is kind and compassionate and she has always kept me at ease when counseling me on my health and when providing options for me to achieve optimal health. I highly recommend Dr. Hassen!
It costs me $150 for the Dr. to tell me things I already know. Needed a referral to a spinal specialist, $150. I've got ring worm, $150. Waste my time, and money. Find somewhere else to go where they care about your health, not your money.
Dr. Hassen did not take the time to understand my medical history. I had to change doctors/insurances because of a job change and took an appointment with her. I have been on a prescription for anxiety for 3 years and she refused to refill my existing prescription because she "didn't believe in the medication." This is extremely dangerous as I will be entering withdrawals from a powerful medication within the month.
