The office does a rotation of peds docs. On the occasions I’ve interacted with Dr. Kapen, I’ve had nothing less than exceptional engagement with my child and attentive care. You can tell he keeps up with the trending concerns that affect the demographic he serves. Even for me, I feel like I’m watching an episode of Mr. Rodger’s when attending an appointment. The guy just knows kids and what more could you want or ask from a pediatrician.
Beware of Dr. Kapen's Tax ID and address as his bills will not show in network with major insurances and he works for Beaumont pediatric after care! His bills will be sent to the patient and not covered by insurances while working for Beaumont Hospital!! Horible experince as one year later my son's bill still not being process by insurance due to this doctor TAX ID and Address!
He is so cool, initially me and my wife thought whether he even care about my child the way he was dismissing all the stupid concerns we had as first time parents. Well if you feel the same way in the initial visit , don't get deceived by your first impression. He is very capable, tells us what is the best for the child , NOT necessarily what you might want to hear from him . He was so right in identifying and curing the issues with my daughter even other doctors missed. Best pediatrician ever
