Visited with my teenage daughter. His treatment was accurate however he, his office staff, and his office policies made us feel like we were just another "number" and all he wanted was our money. After years of being a patient was dropped because I had not been in a while and on Medicare. They would not take me back as I would be considered a new patient and don't take new Medicare patients! Cut me off trying to ask a question - very rude.
Dr Edward McCarthy has been taking care of my skincare problems for many years and I feel very lucky to have him as my doctor. He is kind, very considerate, and explains things to me in a way that I can understand. His staff has always gotten me in to see him in a very short time and if I have an emergency they are very accommodating. I'm very happy with Amarillo Dermatology and reccomend them to everyone wanting an excellent Dermatologist.
Dr. McCarthy takes his time with his patients and gives a very thorough exam. I have all the faith and trust in his medical skills. He is kind and considerate. I feel that he is interested in me as his patient.
Dr. McCarthy is a great physician with a comfortable bed-side manner; however, his employees in the office are not as wonderful. The ladies are very rude and short with patients. There is apparently no one in charge (at least that was what I was told when I asked to speak with the Office Manager), and the employees are less than helpful. Not one employee could answer my questions and they didn't seem real concerned with the lack of information or customer service they could provide.
