Dr. Coles is very straightforward, communicates in plain English and is great to just have a conversation with. His clinical knowledge is on point.

Dr. Coles is rude, cold and uncaring. He makes assumptions about your history without listening to your complaints, and fails to address your complaints. Beware of him, and the entire staff at Gastroenterology of San Marcos and New Braunfels.
I have had at least two colonoscopys performed by Dr. Coles. I find him very forthright as well as comforting. He is a terrific diagnostician. Quickly found my problem and confirmed it. He recommended treatment that works when I work it.
I have seen Dr. Coles since 1995 when I was diagnosed with Hepatitis C. He was up on the current treatment and very knowledgeable and supportive. I choose to drive out of my area to see him for other GI needs. He detected a large precancerous polyp during a colonoscopy. Many GI doctors do not go through twice with the scope and sometimes things are missed because of this. Dr. Coles is very thorough when performing exams and I have a high degree of confidence in him.
Dr. Coles has twice performed a colonoscopy on me and I found him to be very forthright and informative both prior to and post procedure. I have the utmost confidence in him and would highly recommend to family and friends. I am currently attempting to arrange an appointment for my wife to schedule a colonoscopy. Ralph Townsend
