I went twice, and I’m not going back. He stared at his computer the whole time while mumbling and grumbling. I received limited explanation and elaboration on my diagnosis and next steps -- my questions were sloughed off. He condescendingly told me I have the spine of a geriatric patient after reviewing my x-rays. (Nice way to make me feel insulted and anxious about my lab results.) Dr. Alvarez has poor patient interaction, fails to discuss medical issues, and can't wait to get out of the examination room. He has a lot of experience but imparts little to the patient. It is too bad that he doesn't utilize his talents better.
