I had broken the tooth, Dr. Longman performed overall X-ray evaluation, cleaning, and root canal of the damaged tooth, fitting a temporary crown until the permanent crown could be safely fitted. Only novacaine injections were needed/used for pain, discomfort and swelling was very minor! His prices may not be the cheapest, but sometimes, "You get what you pay for!"
Worst dentist office I have ever been in. Office Staff provided 4 different fees for a filling, all on the same morning of the scheduled appointment. First I was told Aetna Dental Insurance does not cover fillings so I would be responsible for $366.00. Then I was told they made a mistake and Aetna Dental insurance covers all but $134.80. Very nice facility and professional staff. Appointment were precise and advance advice was extremely helpful.
Horrible, horrible dentist! Had a lot of fillings crowns and root canals. He is only interested in getting the big bucks from you, and smooth talking you into more treatment . The staff is rude and dismisses you like you're nothing. Had to get a lot of the work redone at my own expense. He's not acting like a dentist, more like a used car salesman.
Very satisfied or would have left by now. Everything from fillings to crowns to dental implants with good results. Had some doubts about a subordinate dentist years ago on, but she left. Have been treated by Drs Longman and Phan - recommend both. Had some real problems due to deterioration of old bridgework on lower left quadrant - Longman handled it very well. Too expensive and costs were not explained before agreeing to the service. Front office staff had a careless attitude. I would not recommend Alexandria Old Town if you want to manage your costs. Several surprises and coupons are worthless.
My husband needs a dentist to fix his teeth - BADLY so he researchhed and researched and picked this guy. Then he just sucked my son and me in. We really love him and he's very gentle with us and could sign a little since he knows some sign when he was young. Amazing and they are willing to work with you = because my hubby was laid off so we worked things out and made a payment plan.
Dr. Longman was recommended to me by a co-worker and he was right! Dr. Longman is an excellent dentist. He stays up with the latest technology and proceedures. He was willing to treat me with out novacaine due to my discomfort with needles. After many years of drilling with out, he finally explained that it takes much longer with out as he has to be extra careful - this was in response to my questioning why my appointments always took so long.
