Rude amateur receptionist.
When I saw Dr. Schave via video appointments a few years ago, I did not feel like he listened to my concerns about the medications he was prescribing me. Instead of switching the medications, he just increased the dose of the ones I was already taking. I was prescribed more than 10 pills per day when I stopped seeing him, despite having an alcohol problem. This is for Doug. I typically wouldn't review for something like this, but I googled him for a reference and saw the negative reviews. I just wanted to say Doug helped SAVE my family unit. He's a great doc. Five star to Doug!
The previous review by Lily Carr is based. Friends, as well as I have seen Dr. Schave via video appointments with CCS for the last couple of years, he has shown extremely poor bedside manner. In fact, he has commented on weight multiple times, from both my experience and some of my friends. He prescribed me medications that I "had no business being on", a direct quote from an ICU doctor who treated me due to side effect from medications I was prescribed despite expressing concerns, as he upped my dosages instead of switching... read more
The above review by Kylie Vallembois is ludicrous. Dr. Schave has not worked at the Santa Maria Clinic for many years (note she posted a month ago) and WHOMEVER this person saw, it certainly WAS NOT Dr. Schave. He was one of the most beloved and highly regarded/awarded physicians at the clinic. He helped hundreds of clients turn their lives around over the years, including mine and those of my children.
