Avoid Dr. Erb and His Nurse Practitioner Victoria at All Costs As a retired anesthesiologist in the medical field since the 1970s, I have encountered many medical professionals, but I have never been treated with more disregard, arrogance, and outright incompetence than by Dr. Erb and his nurse practitioner, Victoria. If you have Dr. Erb for preceptor as a medical student, very highly recommend asking for a different preceptor. Dr. Erb accused me of missing the first 2 days of my rotation despite having an excused absence signed by my dean of clinical education. Politely explained that I have an excused absence but he does not respect religious holidays of his students whatsoever. He is also very arrogant and condescending, and made some racist comments. If you rely on any sort of Opioid for your pain, Dr. Erb and his staff see your treatment plan as such: get you under 90 MME. Don't ever question his staff, questions are not tolerated. You better understand this new MME Acronym if you are in pain- it's all that he's allowed to prescribe. He’s happy to give you useless shots that get your hopes up.
