I consulted Dr. Fong, chief resident at a prominent area teaching hospital, for treatment of a depressive episode that had stagnated. Unfortunately, my interactions with him would only mimic those of his predecessors. Though a polite and somewhat engaging man, Dr. Fong did not provide any feedback on my intake documentation, nor did he seek to develop a concrete treatment plan for my illness.
