I recently had a serious health scare and my primary care physician suspected Shingles in my eye. Even though Dr. Koepsell was NOT my ophthalmologist (mine had retired) he came into his office on a Friday evening and saw me. He was professional, thorough and truly compassionate knowing that I was facing a weekend not knowing if the herpes zoster virus was in my eye. He did a complete exam and was able to rule out shingles so my primary care physician could focus on the correct diagnoses
