I really an not sure how he is still practicing. I had the worst experience dealing with the rude Dr. Koya. He doesnt have a care in the world nor the patience. He was in such a rush that while he was removing a skin sample, he took too much leaving me bigger scar than necessary. Oh and not to mention he dropped the sample on the ground and had to pick it up and place it in the tube. STAY AWAY.
I've finally found a dermatology practice I can call home! Both doctors were able to look at my skin - which has a myriad of conditions - and quickly determine which needed to be addressed. My concerns were listened to and taken care of or rescheduled when surgery was needed.
Horrible empathy. I don't know about the father but the daugther is outright rude, condescending and unhelpful. Refused to diagnose skin issues because I was inbetween insurance. But could afford it anyway. Run far away if you have any sense of mind.
Absolutely worst experience!! I had to wait 30 minutes to even be acknowledged on top of the fact that they took someone in that arrived after me! The receptionist is old and doesn't know what she's doing with a very crude demeanor. She decided to ask if I had been there before when they were going to call me back because she couldn't find my file. While the whole 30 I was there waiting she was gossiping and complaining about numerous things to another person. I recommend people go elsewhere!!
Dr. Koya is a very well seasoned doctor who knows his work. From the reviews I read, they probably judged him based on one visit. Once you know him, you will realize why he is so good. He has done this work for so many years that he can probably tell a person's condition just based on history and symptoms.
A very bad experience... This doctor is rude, he thinks that his patient is stupid & dumb...he onced looked at my son's rashes and asked me, what do i think it is, hellooo! that's why we're there to be check, he did not even bother to explain what kind of medical condition, i would never recommend this Dermatologist
I would never recommend this dermatologist. He is rude to his employees inconsiderate of appointment times. And at both my appointments for a skin problem he never once looked at the area of affliction. And refused to take take a biopsy of the skin to find out what is causing my problem. How are you supposed to diagnos my skin disorder without ever looking at it. He had no problem collecting my co-pay for giving me no service on two separate occasions. Save your time use a different doctor.
