Dr Otoole has been my primary care doctor for the last 10-12 years. She and her staff have always been courteous and helpful in all matters of my health. They have worked patiently with me over several insurance issues that have recently caused a lot of “red tape”. Wasted our time and don't recommend anyone coming to this doctor. When making an appointment, my wife told the receptionist that she was pregnant and wanted to visit her primary doctor to check on something unrelated to her pregnancy. They made her an appointment for 8am today. When we arrived she checked in and waited to be seen, was then rudely was greeted by her nurse, who put her on the scale and I jokingly said to my wife that she was gaining weight from being pregnant. I was seeing Dr. OToole for YEARS. Along with my family. She often dismissed my symptoms. Once when I expressed how I couldn’t afford therapy, she shrugged and told me to just “go to church” - yeah cause that’ll help my chemical imbalance doc 🙄 she had this one receptionist who was so incredibly rude and just awful to me and many other patients that I witnessed first hand. As an African-American woman, I try not to make things about race—but unfortunately, my experience with Dr. O’Toole and her office left me no choice but to question whether racial bias may have played a role in the care my husband and I received.
