He was more interested in gathering social info on my husband and me. Performed office visit procedure that was not helpful and I was charged for every supply and medicine used, without my knowledge. Impression was that he was anxious to add to billing - not unlike an attorney! Not great "bedside manner."
She is an awesome Dr. She had to do a revision on my hand and even though I had more pain this time She did do a very good job. I even got my daughter an appointment with her,
She is very competent and kind!
My son was in an atv accident. Lost his tendons, one of his arteries and had severe nerve damage to his wrist/forearm. First dr (can't remember his name) wanted to amputate his forearm. Dr.Mercer was contacted for a second opinion and she decided to attempt to save his arm. She replaced his tendons, full nerve reconstruction and removed the damaged tissue in his arm. If it wasn't for Dr.Mercer my son would've lost his hand. I would recommend her to anybody who is looking for a hand specialist.
She's an excellent orthopedic surgeon and very caring person also. She did surgery on my severely broken arm and wrist, and she did a great job. It's a year later, and I have almost no problems. (Of course I would have at least a problem or two -- I'm 68 and am osteopenic. My point is that she did a GREAT job on an old lady with bone density problems.)
AWESOME! We had been dealing for 1 yr and 6 months trying to get a diagnosis for my daughter's hip pain. All test (X-ray and MRI were Normal). 6 months of physical therapy, still pain. Finally we went to see Dr Richter. He acknowledged her pain and symptoms and ignored the tests. Opted for surgery for a torn labrium, and bingo.... pain gone and she is back to running and track. Very personable, down to earth and remembered us and his patient well into 6 months later. Definitely a 5 star rating!!
Subsequent to my hip evaluation by Dr. Richter, I followed his medical advice and reduced my weight by 50 pounds, reduced the strain on not only my knees but miraculously eleminated my hip pain. I highly recommend Dr. Richter for all orthopedic issues. I am now planning a thru hike on the Appilatchian trail in 2018.
In February, 2017, Dr. Richter repaired a severely damaged rotator cuff and other injuries to my left shoulder. After consulting with other surgeons, Dr. Richter carefully explained the options open to me. He did not find out about my injury until relatively late, so he scheduled my surgery as soon as possible (within a week). He was always very kind and upbeat and treated me with respect, both before my surgery and at all follow-up appointments. I cannot recommend Dr. Richter highly enough.
Fantastic doctor that was highly recommended by a close friend. He answered all my questions about my upcoming ACL surgery and even took the time to answer my mom's questions about her nagging shoulder pain. Dr. Richter is extremely knowledgeable and I would recommend him to anyone.
